Refund Policy

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If a course is significantly different from its description, fails to be delivered, or has a major fault, you are entitled to a refund under consumer guarantee provisions.

7-day cooling off period

If you change your mind within 7 days of purchase and have completed fewer than 25% of the course lessons, you may request a full refund. To request a refund, email support@modernedu.com.au with your name and course title. Refunds are processed within 5 business days to your original payment method.

Payment plans

If you are on a weekly payment plan, you can cancel future payments at any time by emailing support@modernedu.com.au. Cancellation stops future charges but does not refund payments already made. Course access will continue until the end of your current paid period. The 7-day cooling off period applies from the date of your first payment.

Upfront payments

Upfront payments are eligible for a full refund within the 7-day cooling off period (subject to the 25% completion limit above). After 7 days, refunds are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Afterpay

Purchases made via Afterpay are subject to Afterpay's own refund and payment terms. Refund requests for Afterpay purchases should still be directed to Modern Edu — we will process the refund through Afterpay.

What is not refundable

Completed courses (where all assessments have been submitted) are not eligible for a refund. Certificates that have already been issued are not refundable.

How to request a refund

Email support@modernedu.com.au with the subject line "Refund Request" and include your name, email address, and the course you would like refunded. We will respond within 2 business days.
